After nearly twenty years spent serving the jewelry needs of the Morristown area, in the Fall of 2005 we were faced with the unfortunate decision of having to relocate due to the loss of our lease. There were no viable alternatives in Morristown so the decision was made to move closer to home, the Caldwell area being the most logical choice. As a result, J. Harris Jewelers is now located at 293 Bloomfield Ave., Caldwell N.J. While in Morristown we were the recipient of the Daily Record Reader’s Choice Award for “Morris County’s Favorite Jeweler.” We at J. Harris Jewelers pride ourselves on being a family owned, service-oriented business, as well as designers of fine jewelry. At J Harris Jewelers we create custom jewelry, lending our experience, craftsmanship and guidance to create the perfect piece for any occasion. Not only does J. Harris Jewelers specialize in the sale of fine jewelry, we offer a wide array of services such as on-premise jewelry repair, including all phases of watch repair, and written appraisals for insurance and personal needs [Gemologist (GIA) on staff]. We have always felt a desire to stay rooted in the community where we were raised; originally Essex Fells natives we now make our homes in Caldwell and Montclair. J. Harris Jewelers first opened in Morristown, NJ in 1986. While we loved the Morris County location and the loyal clientele we have served there for twenty years, we chose this opportunity to reopen our store in Caldwell. We feel It’s a move that is perfectly timed, given the exciting revitalization of Caldwell’s business district.
